Masterclass with Andrei Ioniță

Gold Medal-winner, 2015 International Tchaikovsky Competition

Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 4 to 6 pm:

Proclaimed “one of the most exciting cellists to have emerged for a decade” (Times of
London), Romanian cellist Andrei Ioniță will be in Cleveland on March 22 to meet with
members and friends of the CCS.

Following the standard masterclass format, four Cleveland area students will play for Mr.
Ioniță, followed by a 30-minute coaching session before the audience.

Symphoniker Hamburg’s artist-in-residence for the 2019-20 season and a BBC New
Generation Artist from 2016-18, Mr. Ioniță has been recognized for his passionate
musicianship and technical finesse. Don’t miss this opportunity to broaden your
perspective and gain some new cello insights!
